Privacy Policy

Ice Cross Inc. ("we", "us") operates theicecross.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect

We never see or store your card details. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. Your card number, expiry and security code go directly to Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored on our systems.
How we use it
We use your information only to:
- Process and ship your order
- Contact you about that order
- Handle returns, exchanges and refunds
- Meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations
We do not send marketing email unless you have specifically asked us to, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, ever.
Who we share it with
Only the parties needed to complete your order:
- Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy
- Shipping carriers — your name and address, so they can deliver
- Vercel — hosts this website
- Government authorities — only where legally required
Some of these providers process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to that country's laws.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We don't use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party tracker.
Your shopping cart is stored in your own browser using local storage so it survives a page refresh. It never leaves your device until you check out. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout page for fraud prevention. That's governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years, as required by the Canada Revenue Agency for business records. Support emails are kept for two years. We delete anything we no longer need.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Payment data is handled by Stripe, a PCI Service Provider Level 1 processor. Order data is accessible only to the owner of the business. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't retain the information that would be most valuable to an attacker — card numbers.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
- Ask us to delete it, where we're not legally required to keep it
- Withdraw consent for any optional use
- Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
Email icecross@theicecross.com and we'll respond within 30 days, as PIPEDA requires.
Children
We sell children's swimwear, but the site is intended for purchase by adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be noted on this page.
